To provide newly diagnosed children and adolescents with Type-1 Diabetes an opportunity to:

Learn about proper diabetes management through challenging, team-based adventures
Build critical thinking and problem solving skills that play a vital role in the self-management of diabetes.
Conquer their dreams while under the direct medical supervision and safety of health professionals
Improve their self-confidence in the management of diabetes through challenging real-life scenarios
Learn how to prepare, plan and prevent the onset of diabetes-related complications on trips and adventures

To reduce the burden of Type-1 Diabetes on the American health care system by:

Improving the management of Type-1 Diabetes and encouraging an active lifestyle to prevent diabetes-related health complications
Building a community of individuals with Type-1 Diabetes, who can inspire others to be active and physically fit, through personal stories of triumph and achievement.

To provide health professionals and physicians an opportunity to:

Work with children and adolescents with Type-1 Diabetes for a full day outside of the clinical setting
Learn and identify common and uncommon barriers in the self-management of Type-1 Diabetes in children
Gain hands-on experience in the day to day management of Type-1 Diabetes in children, which includes:
Insulin management
Identification of signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia
Effect of exercise and physical activity on blood glucose levels
Everyday barriers to diabetes management
Empower children and adolescents to take on new challenges and experiences
